Artist Statement...

As a director and photographer, I, Patrick Eames, embark on a profound journey to cultivate my artistic voice and refine my skills surrounding visual storytelling. I am captivated by Film and photography, recognizing their power to transform experiences and sway emotions. For my final projects, I wrote and directed a cinematic drama that explores the theme surrounding the end of the world. At the same time, I photographed a body of work surrounding landscapes engulfed by color

From an early age, I have been actively aware of the profound influence that visual storytelling has on the cinematic experience. Countless hours spent exploring visual techniques have fueled my curiosity about how imagery can evoke powerful emotions and convey compelling narratives. The works of esteemed filmmakers like Mel Gibson and David Ayer significantly impacted my artistic vision.

My creative process is anchored in experimentation and exploration. I continuously seek new methods and tricks from each experience to enhance my craft. I propose that directing is about execution, leadership, and inspiration. While photography is about experimentation and exploration. While my work may not yet convey a singular theme, I aim to produce films and images that encourage viewers to recognize the complexity of visual elements in our daily lives. In a time where AI technology prevails, I find it crucial to maintain the human touch in all forms of creative processes.
